Video of Ridge "Nigh-nigh!"

Short & sweet.
P.S. I know he needs a haircut.

Apparently at our house "N" stands for...

That's right, naked club. Guess who spent a lot of time in time-out yesterday?

Dad Jeppson's 60th Birthday

What do you get the man who has everything for his 60th? You type up a list of 60+ things/memories that you love about him, brave a blizzard, and let him take you out to dinner at a really nice seafood buffet!

Here are some pictures from our fun night in Deer Valley.
This is my cute sister in law Kim who is a vegetarian trying crab. The camera was slow in the low light, so this is the best shot I got of the EVENT.

Dad's small dinner plate resulted in dripping on his pants. He announced to us all that "I've got crabs!" and then they brought him a large dinner plate.

Me trying a bloody mary scallop shot. (non-alcoholic)

It was very tart.

Reading from the list.

"Dad is handsome and gets better looking with age...like a fine wine or cheese."
We love you Dad! It really was a fun night. Even the after party part where we headed home to the kiddos to clean up mystery poop in the basement. It was a group effort by us parents, the birthday boy was excused from doodie/duty so I guess that is the ultimate birthday gift.

Zoot Suit

Asher was excited to wear his suit to church for the first time, today so he could be "just like Daddy."

His new latest quote came yesterday when he told me:

"I'm about to throw up, because you won't buy me Kirby."

Kirby is a cartoon that I rented last week that the boys loved (and I didn't like). Asher has been asking for it all week. I guess I'll be cleaning up throw up for the next little while. Funny kid.

Where does the time go? Here is Jay in the same suit compliments of Meme & Papa Jenkins. He's the same age in these shots that Asher is now. 3 years 10 months. The Zoot suit lives on & hopefully will make it to Ridge too! I need to remember that we're raising 3 future missionaries!

I heart Flexible Spending Accounts!

I heart flex spending even MORE, when my wonderful in-laws let us use up their remaining flex account balance. Thank you!

"good times & great oldies..."

That's the theme at my father's oldies radio station KCCC 930. Here are a couple of oldies for your viewing pleasure.
This was taken Junior year 1994 at Denney's, with my friend Amber (Fisher) Dahle. Don't ya just love up the wispy bangs with headband, floral shirt & braided belt?
Here we are again in my back yard about to load up in the Jenkins van to drive the 1 & 1/2 hours to Roswell, NM for a Stake dance. Amber wasn't LDS (or Mormon) at the time but she was so fun everyone loved her to pieces, plus she has some of the most awesome dance moves you've ever seen!
This is a picture of my best guy friend in High School, Jeremy Daniel & behind us is the mighty Pecos River, nice Ray Bans.

Long story short, Amber found me on Facebook a few months back and we decided to get together over Christmas since we would both be in Utah. Jeremy also lives in Utah so we dragged him into our plan via his awesome wife Terra.

Here we all are at dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. It was really fun to get together. It makes me happy that my friends have wonderful spouses and are raising amazing families. Thanks for coming out you guys!

Yeah, that's a toked up, I mean rolled up piece of paper, like I said we had fun.

We also tricked the Dahle's into coming over for New Year's Eve. Once again good times were had. Craig, Amber's hubby karaoke(d) "Somewhere over the rainbow" and even though he was joking around, the guy can sing! He also played with Ridge a lot which won my approval! So with Amber's dance moves and Craig's singing look out. Oh, if you get a chance, you must watch their "Don't give up" video. The link is here.

I'm off to go cut some wispy bangs...

Trying to get a family picture isn't easy...

These are only a few of our attempts. Most of them turned out blurry. I think we need to sit down and read our camera manual. There's a novel idea. Oh well, this is mostly for my family who lives far away and doesn't get the live version of us very often.

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Christmas Eve at the Jeppson's consisted of lots of yummy food, grandpa reading stories to the grandkids,
Great grandpa Paul Jeppson telling the Jeppson family Christmas story. He was one of the children in the story re-told by President Monson. We have a copy of the book for each of our children with a special inscription from great grandpa.

Catching a few shots of Ridge and his new hobby of trying on everyone's shoes.

The reading of the Christmas story out of Luke 2, with dramatic interpretation from the grandkids and yours truly. (I was the angel this year...Kinda.)

We got to Skype with Stefanie & Rob who are in China. It was already Christmas day for them over there. China does not recognize Christmas as a holiday but Rob took the day off from school anyhow. This is a picture Matt took of Scott giving Stef & Rob a tour of the Christmas eve festivities. The internet truly is a wonderful thing in situations like this. It was so fun to see and visit with them!
Stockings on Christmas morning. Sorry about my no make-up face. Someone had to hold Ridge in place for the picture. *Also notice the Rain forrest christmas tree. It is stuffed full of monkeys, lizards, frogs, fairies, glittery bugs, feathers and fun. It is a kid's dream tree.

The older boys got bikes and OH yeah, were they excited! Santa Claus had two bikes waiting for them here in Kansas City when we got home. That Santa sure thinks of everything!
Asher wasted no time getting into his stocking treats. (The boys got Batman pajamas on Christmas eve.)
We finished up the morning with a huge yummy breakfast, clean up and then Scott, Kim and Co. came up for more visiting games & fun.
One of the highlights for me was to be able to talk on the phone with my brother Seth. He is serving a mission in Honduras. I couldn't stop the tears of joy when I heard his voice. It made me so happy to visit with him and hear him bear testimony of the work he is doing for our Lord. It was a great day.

We are so blessed to live in this country and to be able to celebrate the birth of our Savior. I am thankful to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.

Gingerbread Casas

It takes lots of concentration to lay the foundation of a solid casa.

Concentration and a LOT of sampling. Dirty nose + lots of candy = heaven

We kept laughing at the droopy gingerbread man. His eyes were just a little too heavy.
