Reptiles and cousins oh my!

This weekend we were so lucky to have some of our Jeppson family drive all the way from St. George UT to visit and do some "herping." Here is a picture of the crew, sans Ridge, somewhere in Kansas.
Brennan, Mike (Matt's brother) Spencer, Gage, Matt, Asher & Jaydan
We loved having you here, we hope it was worth the drive Mike!

Gage & Brennan

Cousin sleep-overs wouldn't be complete without Brennan telling his famous bedtime stories.

Gage & Asher are only 4 months apart and were connected at the hip. Ash was so happy to have a friend his age to play with.

Gray tree frog catching with flashlights. Ridge looks like he's squeezing it, but he's not.

Bullfrog/dirty faced Jay

The tree frogs were EVERYWHERE, so much so that Matt said "this just isn't right, it's not supposed to be this easy!"

Mr. Gage

Uncle Mike
This final shot captures a bit of their adventure. You can see Asher and Gage in the bottom right of the frame chasing tadpoles in the pond. Not as visible are the rest of the boys that are up in a tree to the left of Ash and Gage. They had just hunted all the surrounding hills in the picture, lifting rocks. (probably 1,000+)

Newest Quotes from Asher Nickolas

During family scripture study tonight we noticed Asher tugging on his arm. When asked what he was doing this was his reply. (We don't know where this came from.)
"I'm pulling off my gorilla fur. My gorilla furs are growing! Dey won't go away!"
He apparently was worried about a few long hairs he had growing on his arm. Funny Asher!
THEN, while we were kneeling down for family prayers he looked around our family and asked me this loaded question:
"How come you didn't want any girls to be your kid?"

Still living our happily ever after 12 years later!

Matt & I celebrated our 12th year together with shopping (for me) and dinner on the plaza. We went to our usual spot for special occasions "McCormick & Schmick's". I am hooked on their king crab legs and chocolate bag dessert. It was so fun to get away together for a few hours, walk around holding hands & tell eachother a bunch of mushy stuff. Our great babysitter Austin took this picture before we left. It reminds me I want to paint our kitchen a different color and lose 5 pounds before Seth's homecoming.
