Despite all the pictures you can't really tell how awful it is. I'll post a video from the E.R. where you can see the difference in Matt's two hands.

I just want to know why Matt is smiling in all of the pictures. What's up with that? So glad he is doing better though. After seeing you in church today we can all breathe a sigh of relief! (Joke) Thanks for sharing.

seriously? smilling at the hospital? from the looks of it, getting a major snake bite was a dream come true. what i really want to know is, was the snake made into a belt post-bite?

It looks pretty horrible & I agree with the previous comments, looking back, and knowing he's on the mend, it's pretty hilarious he was smiling during all of this! You are amazing Jamey, I think I would have had a heart attack and died or else killed him myself and been in prison right now...

Um, yeah so I TOTALLY had a dream the other night that I had a snake biting my hand and it wouldn't come off and I was in so much pain! Thanks Matt for a terrible night's sleep...but I'm glad you're doing better!

That swelling is pretty crazy. (I didn't know Big Matt could get any bigger.)

Oh he was, and still is in a TON of pain. He says all the huge doses of morphine didn't touch the pain.
His answer was, "why frown, when you can smile?" Plus he was pretty loopy.
