September early October

We love fall! Asher started playing soccer for the first time and loved it. He did really well too. I think he enjoyed having his turn in the spotlight for the family to come watch his games. He got to be on the same team as his friends Jackson & Caleb which he loved.

We love this picture with his big kick!

Tongue sticking out in concentration

Herping with dad. I love how they are all wearing red, even if Asher is wearing a Ninja Halloween costume.
This is a game that Jay created for family home evening. We had to drop a game piece on this paper and do what it said. The other picture got ruined but the gameboard was a pathway leading to the temple. He made this up without any assistance. I think my favorites were "Say hi to a widow move forward 1 spase", and "you go to mcdonalds on sunday move back 5 spases".

Matt turns 35!

Matt's birthday was on a Sunday this year. We celebrated on Saturday by doing some shopping and going to lunch at McKormick & Schmicks. On Sunday we went to church and had a nice lunch at home with apple crisp for the requested birthday dessert.

Here's a fun picture of my boys with Sam & Wendy. I love how Asher is buried in Dad's armpit.

Picture to show that I was there too.

Happy Birthday Hon! I sure love you and am thankful for the wonderful husband, & father you are!
P.S. Dad Jeppson is quite talented in many areas, one of them being floral arranging. He fixed one of my nice tropicals that had split down the middle. I forgot to get an after shot but it looks even better than the original. Thanks Dad!

Halloween with Grandma & Grandpa Jeppson

We were all excited to have Matt's parents come visit us for Halloween/Matt's birthday this year. We always have a lot of fun when they come to visit. Wendy/mom stayed a couple extra days and helped me paint Jay's room too.

Ash was very proud of his handiwork.

Ridge posturing like he needs a lazy boy recliner and a cold drink.

Jay & Grandpa Sam. Jay wanted to do a "mix-up" for his costume this year. I held in my gut reaction and said "okay go for it." He came up with a clone trooper costume with a ninja overlay, superman cape and safari hat.
Mix-up indeed. Who am I to stifle his creativity?

Asher was Prince Caspian this year from C.S. Lewis' Narnia series. He hasn't seen the show, but thought he looked super cool.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were lucky to have my parents and brother come & stay with us. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures until the day mom & dad were leaving. We are so thankful they could come, it was a great visit.

August continued: Ridge starts preschool

We can't believe our "baby" is already in preschool.
He was so excited to go and LOVES his class & teacher.

Ridge & Ms. Angela

This is R making himself some soccer shin-guards out of wet wipes. He kept saying "Dis is my soccer."

Playing in the rain

I guess they couldn't find any umbrellas!

July 2010 Elder Seth Jenkins returns honorably from Honduras!

This post has a WHOLE lot of pictures from our trip to NM this summer for Seth's homecoming. July 1st the whole family gathered to the Carlsbad Municipal airport (so tiny we got to wait outside for the plane to land which was very exciting!) Matt commented that the whole town showed up for the event.

Sitting Bull Falls. Asher is holding a tadpole or polliwog, I can't remember which.

Carlsbad Caverns Bat flight. No pictures allowed during the flight.

Muffin & Ridge on the 4th of July. Ridge was exhausted!

Asher loved having "spicy drinks" (soda) to his heart's content.

Returned missionary with 3 future missionaries. The only boys on the Jenkins side. (So far.)

My lovely sister Brenna and a black rat snake. (I believe.)

All the cousins minus Emmy snuggling together. Nice toes Lily!

Pizza party on the floor.

Headed back to Lees Summit, MO. It was a wonderful trip. I loved the feeling of having my entire family together for the first time in two years. Seth, thank you for your willingness to serve the Lord and the people of Honduras for 2 years. Our entire family was blessed b/c of it. Love you!
