The Rockin' Silver Band

If you ever want to form your own band here are a few pointers to help guide you to success.

1. Have a cool name.

2. Recruit some good looking members to be in your band.

3. Have lots of flyers hanging everywhere, and also activities for children to do during your gigs.

4. You will need a lot of instruments like homemade drums and shakers.

5. Patrons will enjoy a place to wash up from eating their refreshments of popcorn and water. (Apparently, this spot is only for someone named "Hans")

6. The audience LOVES when you jump on the furniture and make up your own diddy's as you go. Especially on a paper guitar.

7. Even with all these steps, you can't please everyone.

Good Luck and keep on ROCKIN'

I'm kind of creeped out by the snake licking my face, but other then that I love this picture Jay drew in art class at school.

What's hanging in your shower?

Towels? Swimsuits? Pantyhose, or maybe even (gasp) a bra?

I betcha $20 you don't have one of these lovelies hanging in your shower...

In case you can't tell, what we have here is a SNAKE SKIN on a HANGER, hanging in the shower. It's okay to be jealous of my glamorous life. If you like I can have Jay send you your very own in the mail.
*Edited to add, Jay told me he didn't know where else to hang it for display. He's into collecting things lately. It reminds me of the time I came home to our apartment (newlywed) to find Matt draping fake ivy garlands around a bunch of framed insects. Hmmm, maybe it's genetic?

Where did summer go?

Our summer has flown by! July brought us lots of family company which was so wonderful! My 2nd set of parents the Jeppson's came, my sister Sariah and also my mother Jo Raye. I have a lot of catching up to do on pictures, but thought I'd kinda work my way backwards.

Here are a few shots from our trip to The Land of Enchantment. (The boys & I got to stay 2 whole weeks, which was so laid back and wonderful!) We just drove home last night and today is the first day of school! Yikes!

Muffin setting up paints for the older boys. Shortly after this picture, Asher painted my dad's hunting dog Jake. BLUE.

3 generations. We didn't have anyone to take this for us so Matt did. My parents with me and their 3 grandsons.

My heaven on earth.

Punkin flew out to SLC Sunday morning for Education week at BYU. They boys were giving him hugs goodbye.

A tearful goodbye. Even at our ages, hearts swell with love, and are sad to say goodbye.
Love you sweet father mine! (Mom too!)

First day of 1st grade! Jay is confident to start school again, & also excited to be eat lunch at school. I however am a little sad to have him gone all day!

Jay and his teacher Mrs. Park. It was easier to leave him at school today since he was so happy to be there. Asher starts preschool next week. sigh. pause...HAPPY sigh!

For Seth

Elder Jenkins has been in "lockdown" in Honduras for the past week due to political "coups" and the government trying to get rid of their President. We've all been keeping him and all the missionaries down there in our prayers. Here are a few pictures from Guin's wedding so you can see some of the family. (The ones of Guin & Max need to be rotated so I didn't load any of those for time purposes.)

We love you Seth!
